And At Last I See the Light

A few weeks ago we were watching the Disney movie, Tangled, and the boys came up with a great idea. Luka wondered if we could do "the lantern thing" at the end. I said, "Well  I suppose we could but we kinda need a good reason to… something to celebrate."
"How 'bout your birthday?" pipes up Owen from under a blanket.
"Yeah! And Elsa's birthday!" cries Emmett from behind a pillow.
I didn't think they'd really been paying attention.
"That sounds like a good idea to me," I say, thinking it's only a fleeting idea. I mean, are they really serious…??? How would I go about setting something like that up?
Well, wouldn't you know, the very next day as I'm checking my email, there is a Groupon for Chinese Lanterns, just staring at me! So, what did I do??? I ordered 'em. Yep, so that's how we celebrated my birthday this year. Lanterns + Family + Friends = Party. And to help make the occasion extra special, Miss Shelley made me a sweet heart shaped GF cake… And the evening was awesome!

[ Oh, I should tell you, we didn't get permission from anybody to do this, so we 'secretly' let them go in our back yard. We set off one at time hoping it would draw less attention - - - haven't received a visit from our friendly neighborhood officers yet. ]
