SOCCER

The snow has started to fly already in our neck of the woods. It seems like just yesterday the boys were running around in shorts and t-shirts playing soccer. Well, maybe not yesterday, but it was last week. It's not only the weather that changes quickly around here. The two big boys have grown into the season of life that is sports . Believe me, I have put this off as long as I possibly could without damaging their social lives. I did so out of fear of being a drive-thru dinner eating, late night homework-checking, frazzled taxi-driving woman for the next 16 years. But they were more than ready. So, we did end up eating home-cooked meals together, but the rest wasn't too far from the truth. It's tough! But the boys not only loved their soccer experience, they excelled on their teams. So fun to see their athleticism! It didn't hurt that the little ones loved coming along. We often entertained ourselves (and others) by playing our version of soccer on the sidelines. They'll be ready to follow in their brothers' footsteps.

It was a challenge to watch two different fields at one time, but at least they were right next to each other. I don't look forward to the days when we  have games on opposite sides of town (x4). I'm open to suggestions ;)
