Remembering the Cost

For the past few Memorial Days, we've taken our kiddos to a small cemetery in Maple Plain, MN because we think it's important that they understand that Memorial Day is not just an extra day off of school, a day to grill burgers and hang out at the lake. It can be that too, but for us, only after we spend time reflecting, honoring, and remembering those that gave their lives so that we can call ours "free." We chose this particular cemetery because we have some friends that are part of the American Legion Stinson Post 514 who put the service on. We are grateful to be part of such a special day, and more than grateful to all those who have served our country.
So, not always the best attitudes, but they're learning.

I'm thankful we can still pray publicly for our country.
