Skyways & Byways
Owen was home on spring break this past week so we tried to do something fun/different each day. One day we took the boys downtown and explored the sky-ways. Steve came up with a little scavenger hunt to add a little structure to the event. It was a success! One we'll have to repeat.
I thought it would be fun to try to get a (mostly) family pic. Turns out, it wasn't such a good idea. They were too excited about their scavenger hunt, so cooperation was slim to none. This was the best we could do ;)
I do realize this looks like these boys are kidnapping this little girl, and holding her against her will. Pretty accurate.
I thought this was the perfect photo op, but there was just too many 'cool' things to look at, like water dripping from cracks in the buildings :/
They found the first item on their list right away!
…And this was just a bonus! Peter & Tif, they will never forget the game you took them to : )
So many exciting things to see…
Mapping out our route
Now this was also on our list ;) Steve incorporated my coffee treat stop into our list - genius.
The List. …and evidence they had a (gluten filled) doughnut.
Not sure what it is about falling water, but we could have stood and watched this all day.
Luka and Emmett deciding which treasure they will find next…
Oh Bummer! It was closed.
We made a stop for lunch. It wasn't on our list, but we were having so much fun we all needed to refuel.
Luka found his stage, then danced a little jig : )
Oh the escalators. Hours of fun.
And if they aren't tired enough at the end of the exploration, ya make 'em run up the escalators the wrong way ;) It totally works!
A very successful day. Homeward bound.
